The long-awaited new Telangana Secretariat complex is set to open on January 18. The Telangana government is setting an example by naming the new integrated State Secretariat complex after Dr. BR Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution. This project was constructed by the Shapoorji Pallonji And Company Pvt Ltd, Mumbai. On Thursday, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao made the decision in this regard and instructed the officials to proceed accordingly.

The Architecture Of The Hyderabad Secretariat Complex
The government took Vaastu into consideration when building the complex. It features both the conventional Deccan Kakatiya style and architectural elevation design. The layout is in a rectilinear manner with regard to the site and has a total of six floors.
After considering a number of designs for a project this extravagant, the state’s chief minister ultimately chose Oscar & Ponni Architects, who received praise for their buildings and designs on a global scale. They have won more than 131 national, international, and state prizes for architecture and interior design.
Cost And Objectives Of The New Hyderabad Secretariat

At a cost of Rs 650 crore, the Secretariat building will have a built-up size of seven lakh square feet. The State government’s self-governance concept based on Dr. Ambedkar’s objectives for the social, political, economic, and cultural improvement of the oppressed. By offering humane governance to SC, ST, BC, minorities, women, and the poor in “forward castes,” the State government is putting Ambedkar’s Constitution into reality.
New Secretariat Need Of The Hour?

KCR keen for finishing the project quickly so he may begin working from the lavish secretariat, where he is likely to occupy the sixth level with the remaining floors designated for ministers. Since the start of construction on the new administrative headquarters two years ago, BRKR Bhavan has served as the interim secretariat. In order to support the necessity for a new building, officials highlighted a shortage of infrastructure facilities, including meeting spaces in the previous secretariat.
The chief minister and his cabinet colleagues could not have lengthy meetings with even 200 individuals due to a lack of space. Due to this, the CM would have to hold meetings outside the secretariat, including conferences with district collectors. Every level of the new secretariat features three meeting rooms for three ministers, each of which can accommodate at least 50 people. Additionally, at least 400 automobiles can park on campus.
